Description

What is included, and how booking works

When you book, the decorator turns up with everything the design needs, from the balloons and the backdrop to the foil name, the fairy lights and the props. You don't arrange a single thing yourself. The booking itself takes a couple of minutes. You pick a setup, add your city and address, choose a time, and confirm. We'll call you before the slot so you know exactly when to expect us, set up in 60 to 90 minutes, and leave the room ready for your guests. And if it's a surprise, just say so when you book, and we'll quietly coordinate with someone at home so everything's finished before the birthday person walks in.

The one thing that makes a setup photograph well

If we could give you a single piece of advice, it'd be this: you don't need balloons on every wall. After thousands of setups the pattern is always the same. One strong, well-lit focal point, usually the wall behind the cake or the main doorway, beats decoration spread thinly around the whole room. That corner is where everyone gathers for photos, so that's where the setup should be richest. It's also why a smaller, well-placed design often looks more expensive than a big, scattered one. So when you book, point us to where the cake table will sit or where you'll take your pictures, and that's where the effort goes.

Should you do it yourself, or book a decorator

Honestly, for a small and relaxed get-together, a do-it-yourself setup is a lovely thing, and we'd never talk you out of it. It just helps to know what you're taking on before the day arrives.

So if you'd rather be a guest at your own party, or you're simply short on time on the day, a booked setup usually works out to be the calmer choice. And once you've added up the balloons, the pump, the tape and the lights, it often costs about the same as a rushed attempt anyway.

A quick word on balloon types, so you know what you are choosing

You don't need to work any of this out yourself, but it helps to know why a good setup uses more than one kind of balloon. Plain latex balloons are the base of most designs and the most economical, and they're what an arch or a two-colour wall is built from.Chrome and metallic balloons have a reflective finish that catches the light, which is what lifts a setup into premium territory. Foil balloons hold their shape and colour, so they're the ones we use for the age number, the name in letters, and shapes like stars and hearts.Helium balloons float, which makes them right for ceiling clusters and bouquet-style pieces. Once you've picked a design and a budget, the decorator simply brings the right mix for it.

What balloon decoration costs

Let's talk about money plainly, because this is where the local market usually lets people down. Balloon decoration at home starts at Rs 1,499. A simple two-colour wall with a banner sits between Rs 1,499 and Rs 2,499. A themed setup with foil balloons, character props and lights runs Rs 2,500 to Rs 5,000. And premium work, with a ring frame, a lit name board, fresh flowers or custom printing, goes from Rs 5,000 upward.Three things move the price: the balloon count and type, since plain latex is cheapest and chrome and foil cost a little more, the extras you choose to add, and your city. Whatever you see at booking is exactly what you pay, with no extra fee and nothing added on at the door.

SetupTypical price
Simple, under Rs 2,000Rs 1,499 to Rs 1,999
Standard themedRs 2,000 to Rs 3,499
With fairy lightsRs 2,000 to Rs 4,499
Themed and characterRs 2,499 to Rs 8,999
Premium and luxuryRs 5,000 and above

What the price covers, and what adds a little more

To keep things clear, the package price covers the balloons, the backdrop or arch, the setup and the cleanup, so the number you see is the number you pay. A few things sit outside the base package, simply because they add real material or time.Fresh flowers, a lit or printed name board, character cutouts, oversized foil numbers for milestone ages, and custom printing all fall into this group. If you want any of them, you'll see the price before you confirm, never after. This is the part of the market that usually goes wrong, with one figure quoted on the phone and a bigger one on the day, and it's exactly the part we've made sure can't happen with us.

Same-day and midnight setups

Plans often come together late, and that's completely fine. Same-day balloon decoration is available in most areas as long as you book early in the day, which covers the last-minute birthdays and the surprises that get decided on the spot.Midnight setups are one of our most-requested slots too, especially for partners and close friends. The decorator arrives late in the evening and finishes before twelve, so the room's ready the moment the clock turns and the celebration begins right on cue. If a midnight slot is what you're after, book a few hours ahead and we'll confirm if it's available in your city.

Setups with lights

Add fairy lights to a balloon wall and the whole thing softens, and it's no surprise this is the look families end up photographing the most. A favourite combination is a two-colour wall with warm fairy lights running across it, a foil name or age in the middle, and a little extra lighting around the cake table.Ceiling balloons are worth knowing about as well, because they add height and drama without using any of your floor space, which makes them perfect when the room's on the smaller side. Whatever mood you're after, warm and soft or bright and modern, we light it to match.

Simple, low-budget and small-room setups

A celebration really doesn't need a big setup to feel special. From Rs 1,499 you get a clean, photo-ready look, and for under Rs 2,000 you can have a two-colour wall, a foil banner, fairy lights and a tidy cake-table corner, all sized for a regular apartment living room.Small rooms just need a slightly different approach, and that's where planning matters. In a compact flat, a single feature wall works far better than arches on every side, ceiling clusters keep the floor clear, and a smaller name banner keeps everything in proportion. Just share your room size when you book, and we'll build the setup to fit your space rather than squeeze it in.

Keeping it safe, especially around babies and small children

A celebration should be lovely and completely safe for the youngest guests in the room, and we plan for that from the start. Our decorators inflate the balloons before or away from where people sit, secure every element so nothing can come loose, and keep stray balloons and small parts well out of a child's reach. If it's a newborn welcome or a first birthday, do let us know, and we'll keep the setup gentle, with the balloons and props clear of the baby's seating and nothing strongly scented close by. And if you're using diyas or candles alongside the decoration, we place them well away from the balloons and any drapes.

Formats and colours that work

Most people aren't sure where to start, so here are the setups families reach for most: a named wall or backdrop, an arch over the cake table, a half arch with a big foil number for milestones, a premium ring with a lit name board, and ceiling balloons when wall space is short. Colour sets the whole mood, and a few combinations always land well. Black and gold feels grown-up, chrome and silver look modern, soft pastels are perfect for babies and first birthdays, and rose gold gives a warm, premium finish. Pick a theme and we'll match the palette to it.

Booking, same-day requests and changes of plan

Booking's done online in a couple of minutes, and we always confirm with you before we arrive, often with a photo of the finished setup when it's a surprise. Same-day requests are genuinely welcome and we fulfil them wherever a decorator's free, so booking earlier in the day gives you the best shot at a slot.Colour swaps are free, the name and number balloons are locked in when you book, and anything custom printed needs a few days notice. And if your plans shift, just let us know as early as you can and we'll do our best to move the slot with you.

FAQ

How much does balloon decoration cost at home?
toggle
It starts at Rs 1,499 for a simple setup, and most themed and premium looks land between Rs 2,500 and Rs 9,000. Where you fall in that range depends on three things: how many balloons the design uses and whether they're plain, chrome or foil, the extras you add like fresh flowers or a lit name board, and your city. You'll see the full price at booking, and it doesn't change on the day.
Do you offer same-day and midnight balloon decoration?
toggle
Yes to both. Same-day setups run in most areas as long as you book early in the day, so a birthday you only remembered this morning is still very doable. Midnight slots are popular for partner and close-friend surprises, and for those we ask for a few hours notice so we can line up a decorator and confirm availability in your city.
It's a surprise. How do you manage that without giving it away?
toggle
This is one of our most common bookings, so we've got it down to a routine. Tell us it's a surprise when you book, and we'll coordinate quietly with a family member, a flatmate or building security to get access. The decorator finishes the setup, sends you a confirmation photo, and is gone well before the celebrant arrives, so they walk into a fully decorated room with no idea how it got there.
What kinds of balloons do you use?
toggle
A mix, chosen to suit the design. Plain and chrome latex balloons build the arches and walls, foil balloons handle the name, the age number and any shapes like stars or hearts, and helium and ceiling balloons create the floating clusters. You don't need to specify any of this, the decorator simply brings the right combination for the setup and budget you choose.
Will the setup fit my room, and can I change the theme?
toggle
Yes on both counts. We plan every setup around your room size, so a compact 1BHK gets a single feature wall and ceiling clusters rather than arches crowding the floor, while a larger room can take a full backdrop. And the theme's entirely yours to shape. You can change the colours, the style, the name backdrop and the add-ons, and if you've seen something you like on Instagram or Pinterest, send it across and we'll tell you honestly how close we can get in your space.
Do you decorate venues and offices, or only homes?
toggle
Both. Homes and apartments are the bulk of what we do, but we also set up in hotels, banquet halls, farmhouses and offices. Just mention the venue when you book so the decorator can plan the access, the timing and the right scale for the space.
Is balloon decoration safe around babies and small children?
toggle
Yes, and we plan for it deliberately. Balloons are inflated away from the seating, everything's secured so nothing can fall, and loose balloons and small parts are kept out of reach. For a newborn or a first birthday, let us know and we'll keep the setup gentle and clear of the baby's area, and skip anything strongly scented nearby.
Which cities does HORA cover?
toggle
We cover Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Ghaziabad and Faridabad, with a dedicated decorator team in each so same-day service is genuinely available and not just promised.
How long does the setup take, and do you clean up afterward?
toggle
Most setups take 60 to 90 minutes to install, and a larger or more detailed design a little longer. The cleanup's always included, so once your event's over the decorator clears the balloons, the props and the tape, and leaves your space exactly as it was.
